The PEA Mentorship Program has been developed as a greatly improved version of the old tutoring program. All students regardless of their level of training will be encouraged to participate in the Mentorship Program.
Any topic can be covered in this program including topics that are yet to be covered by an instructor. The overall idea behind the Mentorship Program is for students to further their training by completing Mentorship.
Eventually this is the end goal of the Mentorship Program, to increase and expedite the level of training for all students without sacrificing quality. These sessions will be known as ‘preview sessions’. Information will be discussed with a mentor in preparation for an upcoming activity with the student’s instructor.
Both students and instructors can submit a request for mentorship.
Students name, requested topics to be covered, if it’s a new topic or a previously completed topic, and requested completion date (the mentorship activity would have to be complete at or previous to this date).
Ideally at least 24-48 hours in advance of the mentorship requested completion date.
Mentorship activities will be scheduled by the appropriate Mentor Manager for each team.
Once the mentorship activity has been scheduled on ETA the Mentor Manager will send an ETA message to the student, mentor and instructor informing everyone of the session date, time and topics to be discussed.
Each mentorship activity will be scheduled for 1.0 hours, however the session length can be at the discretion of both the mentor and the student.
Yes. Multiple requests can be submitted and there is no limit to the number of mentorship activities a student can participate in each week. For example, students can be submitted for mentorship every day if preferred.
